The worship at CRBC is God-centered, simple, and reverent. The focus is on the basic Biblical elements of prayer, singing of praise, Scripture reading, preaching, and the observance of the ordinances (Baptism and the Lord’s Supper).  This is sometimes referred to as the Regulative Principle of Worship.

Preaching is at the center of the worship service.  The preaching at CRBC is generally based on verse by verse expositions through whole books of the Bible.

Here is a sample order of service:

  • Welcome and Announcements
  • Call to Worship:  Psalm 100
  • Confession of Sins and Invocation
  • Hymn of Praise:  “Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise”
  • Scripture Reading:  Deuteronomy 6:1-25
  • Pastoral Prayer
  • Psalm of Praise:  Psalm 115 (Trinity Psalter)
  • Collection of Tithes and Offerings
  • Call to the Word:  “Create in Me a Clean Heart” (Psalm 51:10-12)
  • Scripture Reading and Sermon:  “Justification by Faith” (Romans 3:21-31)
  • Hymn of Commitment:  “I Lay My Sins on Jesus”
  • Benediction:  Numbers 6:24-26
