Our name
What’s in a name?
Christ
We are Christ-centered. We exist to serve and give glory to Jesus Christ. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He must in-crease and we must decrease (John 3:30).
Reformed
We are committed to the classical doctrinal positions of the Protestant Reformation. Our Confession of Faith is the Second London Baptist Confession (1689). We want to walk in the “old paths” of Biblical faithfulness (Jeremiah 6:16).
Baptist
We are a Baptist church. We hold that believer’s baptism by immersion is the New Testament practice (Matthew 28:19-20;
Acts 8:36-38).
Church
We believe in the importance of the visible, local church. Jesus himself constituted the church, declaring “I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”. (Matthew 16:18). We believe that the true church will preach the gospel, observe the
ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and practice discipleship.
